    Privacy policy

    Last updated: 1 October 2026

Earth-Audit is operated by 54Grid Limited, registered in the United Kingdom. This page explains what this site stores on your device, who receives it, and how to change your mind at any time.

    Site statistics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Ahrefs Analytics. They record which pages are read, in what order, roughly from which country and on which kind of device. This tells us which parts of the site confuse people. In regions that require a decision, these tools are only loaded once you allow site statistics.

    Advertising measurement (Meta)

If you allow advertising measurement, our ads on Facebook and Instagram are measured by a Meta pixel. Meta then receives: which pages of earth-audit.com you visited, which actions you completed (for example starting a checkout or finishing a trial), your browser and device characteristics, and a cookie identifier that lets Meta link those visits to the ad you clicked. Recipients are Meta Platforms, Inc. and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. The enabled purposes are measuring the performance of our advertising and optimising which ads are shown to whom.

Customer matching, and why it needs your acceptance

Where you gave an e-mail address to start a trial, a cryptographically hashed copy of that address may also be sent to Meta, so an ad that led to a real paying customer can be counted instead of guessed. Hashing is not anonymisation, so we do this only when an explicit advertising acceptance is stored for your browser — in every region, not only in Europe. Without that acceptance, no customer identifier is sent, and the event still counts without it.

    What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not put your e-mail address in page addresses, links or event parameters. We do not run the Meta pixel before your decision in a region where one is required, and a refusal is never overridden by your location.

The record we keep of your choice

When you accept or refuse, we store one row containing: a random identifier created in your browser (not your name), the notice version you were shown, your two separate choices, the country detected for your visit, the page where you decided, your browser string, and the date and time. It exists so we can prove a choice was made and what it said. It is not used for anything else.

    Changing or withdrawing your choice

The Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page reopens the same panel. Your current choice stays as it is until you change it. Saving a refusal stops browser reporting immediately, in every tab you have open. You can also control advertising personalisation inside Meta's own settings.

    Your account, payments and reports

Your workspace stores the properties, boundaries and analyses you create. Card payments are handled by Stripe; Earth-Audit never receives or stores your card number. Each report carries a SHA-256 hash so the document can be verified independently at earth-audit.com/verify without an account.

    Imagery and sources

Property imagery comes from public archives and open licences: Copernicus Sentinel-2, USGS Landsat, USDA NAIP (United States), IGN BD ORTHO (France), IGN PNOA (Spain), swisstopo SWISSIMAGE (Switzerland) and PDOK Luchtfoto (Netherlands). Every image in your panel and in your PDF keeps its provider, date and stated resolution, because the value of the evidence depends on being able to check it.

    How long

Your workspace data is kept while your subscription is active and for a short period after cancellation so you can restore it. Consent records are kept as evidence of the decision. Statistics and advertising data are retained by Google, Ahrefs and Meta under their own policies.
